ABC's GOOD MORNING AMERICA Delivers Strongest Numbers Since May

ABC News' "Good Morning America" stood as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers (5.454 million) and Adults 25-54 (2.062 million) for the week of September 8, 2014, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" beat the No. 2-ranked "Today" (4.672 million, and 1.813 million, respectively) during the week by 782,000 Total Viewers and by 249,000 Adults 25-54. In fact, "GMA" nearly doubled its news demo lead over "Today" compared to the previous week (+84% - 249,000 vs. 135,000 on w/o 9/1/14) to mark its largest Adults 25-54 advantage in 9 weeks - since w/o 7/7/14. "GMA" also significantly increased its year-ago news demo lead over "Today" by 655% (vs. 33,000 on w/o 9/9/13). Additionally, GoodMorningAmerica.com on Yahoo! reached over 17 million users last month.

"GMA" has won in overall viewers and the key adult news demo every week since the end of THE 2014 WINTER OLYMPICS 29 weeks ago. Overall, "GMA" has ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers in 111 of the last 115 weeks (since w/o 6/25/12), finishing behind "Today" only during the two weeks of the 2012 Summer Olympics and the two weeks of the 2014 Winter Olympics. In Adults 25-54, "GMA" has ranked No. 1 in 47 of the 51 weeks of the season, pacing ahead of the No. 1 finishes at the same point of the 2012-13 Season (42 of 50 weeks*).

Posting across-the-board week-to-week improvement for the 3rd straight week (5.366 million, 1.953 million and 1.408 million, respectively, on w/o 9/1/14): Total Viewers (+2%), Adults 25-54 (+6%) and Adults 18-49 (+4%), "GMA" turned in its strongest numbers since May - since w/o 5/26/14, w/o 5/19/14 and w/o 5/26/14, respectively. In addition, "GMA" grew the most in all 3 measures as both "CBS This Morning" (flat/+5%/+3%) and NBC's "Today" (+1%/flat/+2%) were mixed.

"GMA" built on its year-ago week performance (2.019 million and 1.381 million, respectively, on w/o 9/9/13) in Adults 25-54 (+2%) and Adults 18-49 (+6%).
? Season to date, "GMA" stands as the No. 1 morning news program for the 2nd straight year in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54. "GMA" is leading NBC's "Today" 691,000 Total Viewers and 148,000 Adults 25-54. In fact, "GMA" has widened its season margins over "Today" versus the same point last season in Total Viewers by 2% (691,000 vs. 679,000) and by a significant 72% in Adults 25-54 (148,000 vs. 86,000). Further, "GMA" now leads "Today" by its largest Adults 25-54 season advantage to-date.

"GMA" is posting its largest season margins over "Today" in both Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 in more than 22 years - since at least the 1991-92 season (Nielsen's electronic database started on September of 1991).

Growing in both measures for the 4th season in a row, "GMA" is up over the same point last season in both Total Viewers (+5%) and Adults 25-54 (+8%). In fact, "GMA" is seeing its largest overall season audience in more than 22 years and best Adults 25-54 performance in 8 years - since before the 1991-92 season and the 2005-06 seasons, respectively. "GMA" is also up the most in Adults 25-54 compared to "CBS This Morning" (-3%) and NBC's "Today" (+5%).

During the week, "GMA" outperformed "CBS This Morning" in Total Viewers (+85%), Adults 25-54 (+117%) and Adults 18-49 (+149%).
