48 HOURS: "The Strange Life of Dr. Schwartz" was Saturday's #1 program with viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for July 29. The encore broadcast of "The Strange Life of Dr. Schwartz" was the time period leader at 10:00 PM with viewers and adults 25-54. The broadcast delivered 3.58 million viewers and a 0.8/03 with adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news.

Saturday's broadcast featured Peter Van Sant and 48 HOURS' investigation into the brutal murder of Dr. Steven Schwartz, a beloved Florida physician who ended up dead in his Tarpon Springs, Fla. mansion. Schwartz's second wife, Rebecca, dialed 9-1-1 in May 2014 to report her home had been robbed. When police arrived, they found Schwartz dead.

The investigation into what happened would uncover a family with strained relationships, competing allegations on what may have happened, and a whole secret life that Schwartz had hidden from his offspring.
