The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced today that it has Enlisted the help of four Social Media Ambassadors to help bring its red carpet and Livestream broadcast into the homes, and mobile devices, of fans around the world. Four highly-followed, well-respected social media gurus will serve as online tour guides through the red carpet, show broadcast, and behind-the-scenes areas to give fans a more personal glimpse into the 2014 Daytime Emmys. The program and social media reports will be presented live to a national and global audience on the recently-launched site, www.daytimeemmys.net, from the ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, June 22 beginning at 2:30pm PST.

Lauren Elizabeth (Twitter), Brittany Furlan (Vine), Jessica Harlow (Facebook), and Meghan Rosette (Instagram) were selected by Here Media to represent the Daytime Emmys in this endeavor not only for their enthusiastic social media followings, but because they are aligned with the celebratory nature of the event and the supportive environment that the organization promotes.

Throughout the evening, the ambassadors will circulate through the red carpet and official Social Media Lounge. In the lounge, a VIP area within the pre-show cocktail reception, the women will interact with the biggest stars of the evening and allow fans to interact with them via their favorite online platforms, utilizing the hashtag #DaytimeEmmys.

The night's winners will visit the social media lounge just after they're presented with their statue to share their instant reactions with fans. Posts from all platforms will be aggregated onto the www.daytimeemmys.net homepage and people from around the world utilizing the hashtag #DaytimeEmmys will be able to celebrate together as the biggest stars from daytime TV are recognized for their great work.

Additionally, beginning now, fans have the opportunity to select a "Fan Favorite" on the Daytime Emmys Facebook page. The ten nominees presented have some of the largest, most passionate social media followings and this vote will put them to the test. After the Daytime Emmy Awards Livestream concludes, one of the social media ambassadors will announce which of the ten nominees was selected "Fan Favorite" for 2014.

This is the first time in its history that the prestigious organization will be utilizing Livestream to broadcast the awards show, and it does so in the hopes that audiences around the world will be able to engage in an event which celebrates programs that are known internationally and boast a global fan base. The 41 st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be available for viewing live at www.daytimeemmys.net beginning at 5:00pm on June 22. Emmy Awards will be handed out for twenty-five categories, including several new ones announced this year.

The Daytime Emmy Awards recognize outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production and are presented to individuals and programs broadcast from 2:00am 6:00pm during the 2013 calendar year. The 41st Annual Daytime EmmyAwards is a presentation of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in cooperation with The Television Academy (ATAS).
