PEOPLE reports that Jamie Foxx and Idina Menzel are set to perform at the 30th Annual Carousel of Hope Ball on Saturday, October 8th in Beverly Hills. Hosted by Barbara Davis, the event helps to strengthen awareness for diabetes, and raises money for clinical care and diabetes research at the Barbara Davis Center. Presenters for the evening will include Denzel Washington, Anjelica Huston, Quincy Jones and Carole Bayer Sager.

This year's honorees include Sir Sidney Poitier, who will be presented with the Inspirational Lifetime Achievement Award, and Brass Ring Award recipients Jane Fonda, David Foster and Sherry Lansing. Jay Leno and David Foster will return as Master of Ceremonies and Music Director, while Clive Davis and Quincy Jones serve as Music Chairmen.

Jamie Foxx performed a stunning duet of 'Climb Every Mountain" with Barbra Streisand on her newest album "Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway." The singer and actor made several surprise appearances during Streisand's recent concert tour.

Menzel, who just this weekend announced her engagement to fellow actor Aaron Lohr, released her new self-titled album on Friday. The actress lent her voice to Elsa in Disney's global box office smash "Frozen," in which she sings the film's Oscar-winning song "Let It Go," and in the follow-up short, "Frozen Fever."

Menzel earned her first Tony nomination as Maureen in the Pulitzer Prize winner RENT and won the award for her performance as Elphaba in WICKED. Other notable projects include "Glee" and Disney's "Enchanted." She most recently appeared on Broadway in IF/THEN.
