Since moving to Los Angeles in 2001, British DJ, producer, and remixer Zen Freeman has made a name for himself as the go-to DJ for high profile events around the world. Over the last 10 years, Zen has worked tirelessly perfecting his craft producing, scoring and sourcing music by day whilst touring clubs and events worldwide by night. His unwavering passion for discovering new music has allowed him to remain one step ahead of the curve, and his fans have taken notice… The mark of any great artist is the respect he is given by his peers. His nearly telepathic ability to read a crowd has lead him to spin along with and for international superstars such as Paul Oakenfold, Black Eyed Peas, LMFAO, Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Leona Lewis, Avicii, Chuckie, Pete Tong, Felix Da Housecat, Moguai, Diplo, Vampire Weekend, The Black Key’s, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foster the People and Foo Fighters. His most recent remixes include collaborations with Paul Oakenfold, Randy Jackson, CeCe Peniston, Jump Jump Dance Dance, Richard Beynon, Remy Le Duc & EC Twins. Zen has become a celebrity in his own right – his weekly residency for Perfecto at the 25,000 sq ft Rain Nightclub at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and his constant presence in the Hollywood club scene has generated buzz and allowed him to become the DJ of choice among top celebrities and A-list clientele. Some of his latest events include Budweiser’s London Olympics closing party, the Monaco Grand Prix after party, the Victoria’s Secret “What is Sexy?” party, Showtime’s EMMY after party, Harvey Weinstein’s Golden Globe and Oscar parties, Microsoft founder Paul Allen’s Cannes Film Festival and St Barts New Years parties to name a few. He is also popular on the Film Festival circuit and plays every year at Sundance, Toronto and Cannes. When Zen is not playing international high-profile events or touring the world, he consults as a music supervisor for major brands such as Prada, Soho House, Schrager Hotels and Weinstein Company. He has also become the go-to guy for fashion clients such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Burberry, Chanel, Hugo Boss and GAP. Other brands include Mercedes Benz, Jaguar and Grey Goose, media clients Extra!, VH1 and MTV, MySpace, ESPN and electronics giants Apple, Sony and LG. 2012 has already been an eventful year for Zen. He has also held down his own North American Tour, NYC, LA and Las Vegas residencies.
