WOLVES IN THE THRONE To Embark On North American Tour

Wolves in the Throne Room have re-imagined black metal as an ode to rain storms, wood smoke and the wild energies of the Pacific Northwest since the release of their first studio album in 2006. Twelve years later, Wolves in the Throne Room have become one of the most potent and highly regarded bands in extreme music; their music is a doorway into a mythic ethereal Heathen landscape entered through music, magic and dreams.

A portal into the dreamworld of Wolves in the Throne Room opened again with the release of Thrice Woven (September 2017, Artemisia Records), a glorious return to the blazing and furious Black Metal that they alone can create. Thrice Woven received great critical acclaim and appeared on many 'Best of 2017' lists, including Metal Riot's 50 Best Artists of 2017, Prog Sphere's Top 40 Albums if 2017, Heavy Music HQ's 2017 Best Heavy Metal Albums, Vancouver Weekly's 40 Best Metal Albums, Metal Trenches' Top Ten of 2017, Blocland's Best Albums of 2017, and more.

Now, Wolves In The Throne Room will kick off 2018 with a direct support slot on the highly-regarded 7th annual Decibel Magazine Tour. This year's lineup shows Norwegian progressive metal legends Enslaved joining forces with Wolves in the Throne Room, Danish post-black siren Myrkur and doomed rock 'n' crushersKhemmis (with regional openers in select markets). The tour will begin tonight in Philadelphia, PA and will span four weeks, taking the bands through the midwest back to the west coast to close out the run.
