Twinnie's New EP 'Better When I'm Drunk' is Out Now

Named by Rolling Stone as one of the stand-out acts at the 2018 Country2Country festival and in Billboard's Hotly Tipped 'Ones To Watch For 2019, recent BMG signee and rising UK star Twinnie released her glorious debut EP, Better When I'm Drunk, on March 1st, available now on all digital retailers and streaming services HERE.

Within 48 hours, the title track hit the #1 spot on the UK Country Charts, beating out Kelsea Ballerini's "Miss Me More" at #2 and Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" at #3. The EP has since received praise from the likes of MTV UK, who lauded the EP as "a whole moment and we're obsessed with it."

All three tracks on the EP were co-written by Twinnie along with Adam Argyle (Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, James Bay, James Arthur) on "Better When I'm Drunk", Yei Gonzalez (Jennifer Lopez, DJ Khaled, Cardi B) and Ariel Lask on "Type Of Girl," and Jeremy Spillman and Lucie Silvas on "Superhero". The tracks were produced and mixed by multiple producers including Adam Argyle, Jack McManus, Ryan Gore (Kacey Musgraves, Thomas Rhett, Kelly Clarkson), Yei Gonzalez, Tony Malm, Jeremy Spillman, Jon Green (James Bay, Lucie Silvas, Kylie Minogue, Jack Savoretti) and Jay Reynolds (Catherine McGrath, Kylie Minogue, Demi Lovato) with additional production from Twinnie on "Type of Girl."

Showcasing what a powerhouse talent Twinnie is, the lead track 'Better When I'm Drunk' is an honest, fun, country fuelled ride with kickass vocals that she describes as "showing the humour and the truth in what people actually feel on a night out vs the morning after". 'Type of Girl' displays Twinnie's impeccable vocal range at its best, whilst perfectly balancing old school country with a new, pop edge, while the emotional ballad, 'Superhero' shows a different side to Twinnie. "I guess love has no place for superheroes" - the melancholy and feeling evident in Twinnie's beautiful voice.

Yesterday, CMT debuted the official music video for the title track 'Better When I'm Drunk," see HERE. The fun and flirty video follows Twinnie on a girls night out with her friends that goes awry after one too many drinks. Leslie Fram, SVP of Music and Talent for CMT said 'FINALLY someone speaking the truth - isn't that what country music is supposed to be about?' This is BOLD and BEAUTIFUL."

Speaking of the themes of her EP, Twinnie comments; "I grew up in the north of England where typically people tell it how it is. I was always inspired by that honesty and I guess that shaped me as a songwriter. Living in a world of social media where everything and everyone is perceived to be perfect, I wanted to write songs that were honest and authentic to me. I really carried that thought throughout this creative process and I have no shame in highlighting my flaws and being vulnerable. Each song shows a different side of my personality and is an introduction of what to expect from my debut album."

Always destined to be a performer, Twinnie spent her formative years in Yorkshire singing, writing, acting and travelling to her beloved Nashville to soak up the knowledge and learn the craft. She is definitely one not to be missed in 2019.
