The Sourland Mountain Music Festival to Bring Music Explosion to Sourland Mountains

The Sourland Mountain Music Festival is about to explode! After 14 years growing from a small gathering at Hillbilly Hall to a festival large enough to be held on a Polo field on top of the Sourland Mountains, the 2018 Festival promises to be the best ever. In addition to a wonderful line-up of original bands from around the region, there'll be great food and drink from local sources and lots of activities for families.

This year's music features a unique and powerful lineup of the region's most vital and exciting artists, ranging from Pop and Reggae to Country Rock and Jamtronica. Young stars of the future to grizzled rockers, they all know how to get a party going. Sample the tunes of Nalani & Sarina, Flux Capacitor, Stolen Rhodes, Verdict, Joshua Branson and the J.B. Kline Band on The Lineup page of the Music Festival website. Six bands, a beautiful setting, great food and drink; there's no better way to spend a Saturday in June, and help protect one of New Jersey's treasures.

Nalani & Sarina, two audacious young artists, from west-central New Jersey, with a distinctive blend of traditional soul-rock and modern pop. Their smart, kinetic live show has made the sisters favorites on the Northeastern club scene

Flux Capacitor, band of brothers from the Philly music scene who consistently inspire and evoke a new and wildly addictive sound resonating with elements of rock improvisation and electronica. They redefine musicality with positive prophetic vocals, complex guitar work, innovative keys/synths/bass stylings, and feverish syncopated drum rhythms.

Stolen Rhodes, Combining blues and rock with a touch of country and a heap of nostalgia, Stolen Rhodes have played over 400 dates in the last two years, including festivals such as SXSW, Sturgis, Daytona Bike Week, and Rocklahoma. They opened for iconic artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Robert Randolph, Drivin' N Cryin,, Blackberry Smoke and Miranda Lambert.

Verdict, has been rocking the house from venues as varied as the fabled Stone Pony to the NFL owners meeting at the Super Bowl in Miami. Their pan-Caribbean/Reggae sound has audiences dancing with joy from the first note. Have you jammed with Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan? The Verdict has!

Branson, Joshua Branson is a Califon, NJ based musician best known for his beautifully crafted songs which combine emotionally charged melodies with smart polished lyrics. In the 90's Joshua was the lead singer of In Blu a central NJ band which received critical acclaim and built a following performing along the East Coast.

J.B. Kline Band, J.B. is a solid, seasoned performer with over 30 years of steady playing under his belt. J.B. started playing with members of New Jersey bands who would go on to play with world-famous artists. J.B. has performed with many famous bands throughout the years, one being Marshall Tucker who said J.B. was "the best opening act we've ever had!"

The Sourland Music Festival will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018, from 3:00pm - 10:00pm, rain or shine, at the Hillsborough Golf & Country Club. Discounted tickets are available now! For more information, visit www.sourlandmusicfest.org Proceeds benefit the Sourland Conservancy.
