Houstonian Rob Landes began playing piano at age 3 and made his debut on the "Art Linkletter House Party" at age four, receiving applause and kudos from both Mr. Linkletter and Tommy Dorsey, who was a guest on the same broadcast. In the late 1960s, Landes was the keyboardist for the rock group Fever Tree. He toured with Liza Minnelli and Marilyn Maye, conducted the Count Basie Orchestra and Buddy Rich Band, and became an active composer and church musician. He has been organist and artist-in-residence at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Houston since 1996.

For its March performance at The Grand, The Rob Landes Trio will treat Galveston fans to a tour of the fabled "Great White Way." This musical celebration will include selections from Broadway greats including Jerome Kern and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
