Urgent and infectious, The Feed return with sophomore album, Outsider, a collection of scuzzed out jams that rock like T. Rex at a Spoon concert, but with the lo-fi feedback of a Strokes album. And after a 3 year hiatus, their return couldn't come soon enough.

The St. Louis four-piece burst back onto the scene earlier this year premiering lead single, "Rexy," on Filter Magazine, who sang praises of their erratic and " impressive" self-described soul punk. The band were quick to follow with second single and title track, "Outsider," on Alternative Press, who boasted that they "blend classic motifs with fuzz and modern energy to create their frantic rock." Hype surrounding the band has continued to escalate, features in the likes of The Blue Walrus, Diffuser.fm, PopStache, KDHX, Modern Drummer and Earmilk, not to mention supporting the likes of Ben Folds, Chuck Berry and The Roots to name a few.

Influenced by an eclectic collection of artists, from Miles Davis to Queens Of The Stone Age, the Outsider LP is a progressive step forward for the band, and comes 3 years after a brief hiatus and their last release. With each member actively working on several different projects during their quiet period including jazz, rock and indie endeavors, the four-piece come together on Outsider, cohesively blending their varying external influences. The result? An album that screams of throwback 90's garage jams bled together with perfectly weird and eccentric melodies.

For more about the band, visit facebook or their official website. Upcoming Show: August 10 at Vintage Vinyl, St. Louis 2pm. Show Details.
