Telemundo kicked off the much anticipated third season of "La Voz Kids" last night with the first round of "Blind Auditions," produced once again at the Universal Orlando Resort. Returning hosts Daisy Fuentes and Jorge Bernal saw seven young talented kids from California, Oregon, Puerto Rico and Texas impress Coaches Daddy Yankee, Natalia Jimenez and Pedro Fernandez, who battled passionately to start building their teams of 18 contestants. The Sunday night reality competition gives the audience the opportunity to witness how the stars of the future are discovered and developed while the Coaches search for the nation's best young singing talent to compete on "La Voz Kids," where the winner receives a recording contract and a $50,000 cash prize to support their education. The search continues during the second round of "Blind Auditions" this coming Sunday, March 22, at 8pm/7c on Telemundo.

Following is a recap of last night's premiere episode:

DADDY YANKEE acquired three young artists for #TeamYankee:

13-year-old Arnold Cruz from Santa Clarita, California, is a sentimental and proud "Charro" inspired by his grandfather, who also wanted to be in a "Mariachi." Coach Daddy Yankee turned his chair at the last minute, taking the first member for his team.
14-year-old Emily Cortes from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, is a returning contestant from season two. More secure and prepared, she made the three Coaches sing and dance to her song. Daddy Yankee loved her energy and self-confidence, and she opted to join her countryman's team.
14-year-old Franser Pazos from Portland, Oregon, says that his love for music keeps him connected to his birthplace, Cuba. The three Coaches were extremely impressed by his talent, and even though he sang one of Natalia's hits, he nervously decided to go for #TeamYankee.
NATALIA JIMENEZ selected two young girls as the first members of #TeamNatalia:

15-year-old Antonella Henao from Houston, Texas, is a very secure and authentic artist. The three Coaches praised her voice, and she opted for Natalia, as a true believer in "woman power."
12-year-old Ailyn de la Garza from Hidalgo, Texas impressed the Coaches who turned their chairs, remarking on her powerful vocal attributes. Captivated by the maturity of her voice, Natalia was ecstatic when she secured Ailyn for her team.
PEDRO FERNANDEZ began #TeamPedro with two great female voices filled with Mexican flavor:

13-year-old Tiffany Galaviz from Los Angeles, California, made the three Coaches turn their chairs during the night's first performance. She has been singing and dancing since the age of four, and last night decided to go with #TeamPedro.
11-year-old Ashley Acosta from Houston, Texas, is inspired by Mexican music, and her father gives her the confidence and strength she needs to sing. The three Coaches wanted her for their teams, but it was Pedro that took this great young artist for his team.
