Reuben And The Dark Reveal “Hurricane” Video Choreographed By Megan Lawson

Reuben and the Dark is the spirited folk-rock outfit led by songwriter/vocalist Reuben Bullock. Contemplative, passionate, and expansive, Bullock's songwriting has earned comparisons to contemporaries like Vance Joy, Bright Eyes and Matt Corby. Today, the band reveals the breathtaking "Hurricane" video. Shot just outside Joshua Tree National Park, the desert creates a luminous palette for the abstract choreography, leaving viewers elevated yet grasping for the fleeting beauty. Working with creative director Medoli Meadows, the video was directed by Asher Moss and choreographed by Megan Lawson (Madonna, La La Land, Katy Perry).

"The main focus of finding a visual counterpart to this song was that it be beautiful and surreal," explains Reuben. "Full of movement. I love how it turned out. The desert is a special place to me and I am happy we were able to capture what we did."

Choreographer Megan Lawson shared, "Reuben has a voice and flow that made it easy bringing this song to life through movement. It was a pleasure to be a part of the Hurricane heartbeat."

Reuben and the Dark has performed at many festivals including Sasquatch, Austin City Limits, Osheaga, Field Trip, and more. The band has also shared stages with Vance Joy, The Strumbellas, Boy & Bear, and The Paper Kites, to name a few. Having recently finished a support tour with Serena Ryder, the band has just announced special intimate performances in New York and Toronto, bookending a slew of Ontario dates in March. The band's most recent single "Heart In Two" peaked at #16 on Commercial Alternative radio, and has had cross-Canada adds from CBC Radio2, SiriusXM, Indie88, The Edge, and more. A few of the band's tracks have also recently been featured in a HBO promo , Glass Castle (Lionsgate),The Originals (CW), and Ray Donovan.
