Range A Cappella Debuts First Studio Album 'Volume One'

After two years of rising YouTube fame, RANGE a cappella has debuted their first studio album Volume One, released on March 10, 2017. The New York City based group is best known for their HAMILTON [in 7 minutes] mash-up which has garnered nearly three million views in just one year. In addition to HAMILTON, the group has performed on E! Live from the Red Carpet: Countdown to the 87th Academy Awards, collaborated with Nickelodeon on six music videos, as well as with Billboard, Sesame Street, and Playbill. RANGE also performed their "Evolution of Kelly Clarkson" with Kelly Clarkson herself at Radio City Music Hall during her Piece by Piece tour.

RANGE Volume One is produced by RANGE founders Ben Holtzman and Ross Baum and RANGE member Janelle McDermoth, in association with Mel Daneke and David Longo of The Vocal Company. The album features seven tracks: six covers/mash-ups and an outro composed by Baum and Holtzman. The original artists represented are Jon Bellion, Alessia Cara, MisterWives, Avril Lavigne, Major Lazer/Justin Bieber, Delta Rae, Sara Bareilles, and Elton John/Tim Rice (The Lion King).

The vocal album features entirely original arrangements and takes us through various musical worlds, charting the course of a full day. Jon Bellion's "Morning In America" wakes us up with an electronic anthem about the social pressures and expectations of society today. We're taken home with a mash-up of Elton John & Tim Rice's timeless "The Circle of Life" with Sara Bareilles' "Chasing The Sun" - one song focuses on the beginning of life, while the other hones in on what's left behind. The epic "Outro" brings back the themes from each track and features each of the RANGE vocalists in their best moments.

RANGE a cappella is comprised of 12 New York City based artists working in various facets of the entertainment industry and on Broadway. They are Ross Baum, Hannah Corneau, Chris Dwan, Jeremiah Haley, Ben Holtzman, Mary Claire King, Clark Kinkade, Michael Linden, Janelle McDermoth, Sydney Patrick, Erika Peterson, and Angela Travino. McDermoth and King are appearing on Broadway in in A BRONX TALE and WAR PAINT, respectively. Corneau is starring in the national tour of HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH.
