NOAH GUNDERSEN has debuted "Heavy Metals", the latest pre-release track showcase off of his upcoming LP White Noise, coming out September 22 via Cooking Vinyl America. "Heavy Metals" marks the third pre-release track, following the EARMILK music video premiere of "The Sound" and Entertainment Weekly track premiere of "Bad Desire" in August. Gundersen also recently announced he will be supporting White Noise with a North American tour this fall, as well as UK/Europe solo shows (dates below).

With its ambient, electronic effects "Heavy Metals" reveals yet another direction explored on White Noise. Keys and synthesizers kick off the song and set the tone for Gundersen to sing with haunting emotion. Gundersen's signature pensive lyricism shines through the ambient atmosphere with lines like "For some reason, I can't trust all I thought it was. Heavy metals still will rust. Every empire turns to dust." Whereas "The Sound" explosively showcased Gundersen's dynamic rock sensibilities and "Bad Desire" highlighted the heartfelt, vulnerable side of Gundersen, "Heavy Metals" reveals Gundersen's ability to bring his deeply felt and thoroughly crafted songwriting and lyricism into more experimental bodies of music.

The conception of White Noise started long before Gundersen stepped into his homemade studio, nestled inside a 1600 square foot loft on the marina in Seattle, Washington. "At the beginning of 2016, I walked on stage and was met with a feeling of overwhelming emptiness," Gundersen revealed. "I imagined a career playing music I didn't believe in and was terrified."

After his set, a fellow songwriter expressed a quote to Gundersen from famed choreographer, Martha Graham: "No artist is ever pleased... There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction; a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others." From there, something awoke in Gundersen that can now be best described as the 13 tracks that embody White Noise.

In addition to Gundersen's upcoming North American tour this fall, he will head to the UK and Europe this September for a number of solo shows, stopping by London and Berlin in support of White Noise.

The White Noise North American tour will kick off this October, full tour dates below for both North American and UK/European tours. Tickets can be purchased here: http://noahgundersenmusic.com/
