An up-tempo yet heartfelt song, "The Lucky Ones" by Island Records' own KERLI draws inspiration from both pop and dance genres. Today (December 5), the singer/songwriter/producer made available the video for her newest single via VEVO. View the video now at:

Known for her more fantasy-driven visuals, KERLI takes a different turn with a contemporary look for "The Lucky Ones" video in which scenes depict a stunning KERLI and a night in Los Angeles in different locations such as a nightclub and a family home.

"'The Lucky Ones' song and video were inspired by a really core-shattering personal experience with a loved one's illness so I tried to sprinkle it with messages that became clearer and more important through the whole experience," says KERLI. "Some of the more important messages in the video are having less judgment as we simply don't know other people's stories and being precious about the time we get to spend with the people we love and time in general. My Moon Children are a bunch of wonderful and inspiring individuals so instead of creating another video where I escape into a fantasy world, I wanted to give them something more gritty and real this time that hopefully inspires them the way they have inspired me."

Few other artists working today are better positioned to ride the wave of European-inspired dance anthems lighting up radio charts and iTunes worldwide than Estonian born and raised, Los Angeles-based KERLI. "The Lucky Ones" (which boasts a remix package featuring Morgan Page, Syn Cole and tyDi) was recorded with up-and-coming Swedish production duo SeventyEight.

Meanwhile, KERLI will perform at the 4th Annual NOH8 Anniversary Celebration at Avalon in Los Angeles on Wednesday, December 12 along with Skylar Grey, Jamar Rogers, LeAnn Rimes and tyDi, whom KERLI is also making waves with her song he produced called "Glow In The Dark." (Check out its video which debuted yesterday on mtvU at http://www.mtvu.com/video/?vid=860882) Presented by the NOH8 Campaign and Wen Hair & Body Care by Chaz Dean, the evening is open to the public for free. Leading up to "The Lucky Ones," the 25-year old fashion forward singer was riding a wave of popularity in the U.S. with her #1 Billboard Dance Club Songs chart smash "Army Of Love" in late 2010 and early 2011. The visually rich video for the track, shot in her native country, has racked up over 3.5 million views so far on YouTube and laid the blueprint for a synth-soaked sound that has swept America recently (and has brought KERLI a new fervent fan base grafted on top of her existent fans). The song proved a fitting bridge for a truly visionary presence on the trendsetting side of pop between KERLI's 2008 debut album for Island Def Jam, Love Is Dead (which spawned the hit "Walking On Air") and her new set for the label due for release in spring of 2013. The much-anticipated offering showcases Kerli's gift for sincere songwriting, which fans of Demi Lovato know well (the artist, born Kerli Kõiv, co-wrote Lovato's platinum-selling "Skyscraper," which won an MTV VMA in September of 2012 for 'Best Video With A Message').
