Jennifer Hudson to Perform at A MOTHER'S GIFT Benefiting the Julian D. King Gift Foundation

Academy and Grammy Award winning singer and actress Jennifer Hudson will perform in her hometown of Chicago for an intimate concert to benefit the Julian D. King Gift Foundation, the charitable organization created in honor of Hudson's nephew Julian D. King. Hudson will perform two shows during "A Mother's Gift," presented by Modern Luxury Chicago and Michigan Avenue magazine, on Thursday, May 10th at the Mayne Stage theater. Tickets will go on sale Thursday, April 26 at 10 a.m.

Hudson has earned acclaim throughout her extraordinary career and has been celebrated with awards including an Academy Award, Golden Globe, SAG Award, BAFTA, and multiple Grammys. In 2009, Jennifer, along with her sister Julia, founded The Julian D. King Gift Foundation, as a catalyst for change in children's health, education and welfare. The Foundation exists to provide stability, support and positive experiences for children of all backgrounds so that they will become productive, confident and happy adults.

Michigan Avenue magazine, celebrating its 10th anniversary, leads the all-star night where its sister publications CS, Modern Luxury NS and Interiors Chicago will assemble for an exclusive celebration to honor Mother's Day and provide for children in need.
