Imagem Music, one of the world's largest independent music publishing companies and a division of the Imagem Music Group, has announced the extension of its existing agreement with Brenda Richie Publishing, which will see the company take on the exclusive administration of the Lionel Richie catalogue on a pan-European basis.

The existing agreement between Imagem Music and Brenda Richie Publishing, which has been in place for 3 years, previously only covered the UK. This new extension will now include all European territories excluding Spain, Portugal and Greece; as a European agreement, it is still ex-US/Canada.

Brenda Richie Publishing controls the rights to 50% of the entire Lionel Richie catalogue including such enduring classics as ‘Hello', ‘All Night Long', ‘Dancing on the Ceiling' & ‘Say You Say Me' among many others.

Alongside sales in excess of 60 million albums Lionel Richie can count five Grammys, a Golden Globe and an Oscar alongside his many awards and career achievements to date.

André de Raaff, CEO of Imagem Music Group worldwide said, "We are delighted to be building on our successful relationship with Brenda Richie Publishing and to be extending our agreement throughout Europe with this wonderful catalogue of songs. We have already delivered great results for the catalogue in the UK and look forward to continuing our great working relationship with Lorne Saifer and Mario Gonzalez and to replicating this success throughout these new European territories ."
