With excitement fueled by his Warner Bros. Records debut Blak And Blu being released last week and entering the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart in the Top 10 at the #6 position, rock and soul phenomenon Gary Clark Jr. is flying high. Every date on his upcoming domestic tour has sold out, including three shows at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City and three shows at the Troubadour in Los Angeles within an hour of tickets going on sale.

Blak and Blu has received across-the-board critical acclaim since its release on October 22nd, while the album's first single, "Ain't Messin 'Round," is gaining fast traction. The media has responded in kind:

"A guitarist of deep magnetism and tremendous feel...The album, Blak And Blu, presents Mr. Clark as a pop eclectic rather than a straight-up bluesman. Mr. Clark handles it smoothly." - The New York Times

"One hell of a mean guitar tone, playing solos that claw and scream their stories with ornery splendor but Clark won't be genre-bound." - Rolling Stone

"There truly is nobody else like him around." - Spin

Clark's reputation as a world-class live performer has ignited a rapidly-growing fervent audience, which proved undeniable at this year's ACL Festival where Clark & band set a new all-time daytime attendance record. At Neil Young's annual Bridge School Benefit Concerts in San Francisco the following weekend, Neil himself urged the crowd: "We've saved the best for first - These guys are great." Overall, the unique power of Clark's live show has drawn rave reviews at every tour stop:

"A sharp, commanding performance. His singing was suave and self-assured, and his playing struck the usual balance of incandescence and unhurried poise." - The New York Times (ACL Fest Oct 14, '12)

"The first notes at Made In America (festival) were struck by Texas blues man Gary Clark Jr. the Austin six string slinger is a taciturn badass." - Philadelphia Inquirer

The Austin native has also announced three more upcoming TV appearances: Good Morning America and The Late Show With David Letterman on November 21st and Austin City Limits, set to tape on November 30th with an early 2013 air-date to be determined.

Clark recently performed on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (watch here) and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (watch here). Listen to Clark's recent interview on NPR's "All Things Considered" here.
