Cro-Mags (Harley Flanagan) Announces Best Wishes 30th Anniversary Tour

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Best Wishes, the second album by pioneering hardcore band Cro-Mags, vocalist/bassist Harley Flanagan will tour performing a set with "the best" from Best Wishes, plus other songs from all over Cro-Mags' career. The tour kicks off at the legendary Lower East Side venue The Pyramid Club, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, on March 12. See below for current tour dates with more to be announced.

Flanagan is also featured in the four-part docuseries Punk, from executive producer John Varvatos and Iggy Pop, which will premiere on EPIX on March 11. Featuring original interviews with America's punk pioneers and the U.K.'s most notorious bands, alongside a seamless blend of rare and unseen photos, gritty archival film and video, a crackling soundtrack of punk hits and misses, Punk explores the music, the fashion, the art and the DIY attitude of a subculture of self-described misfits and outcasts.

Flanagan will be featured in the forthcoming film Between Wars, directed/written/produced by Tom Phillips, which also features Michael Imperioli (Sopranos), Corey Parker Robinson (The Wire), Joseph DeVito (Boardwalk Empire), Dominic Chianese Jr (Sopranos) and more. Filming begins in June, more info to follow.

Raised in Europe and on New York's gritty Lower East Side among iconic figures like Allen Ginsberg, Richard Hell, Debbie Harry, the Ramones, Andy Warhol and the Clash, Harley began his own musical career at age 12, performing at legendary hangouts like Max's Kansas City and CBGBs, as the drummer for the classic NYC Punk band, the Stimulators.

During this same time period, this feral street kid prodigy founded the seminal Hardcore band, Cro-Mags,...writing the majority of their music and channeling his powerful survival instinct into the blistering soundtrack and storyline for the 80's and 90's.

Harley's ever-growing popularity with audiences outside of the Punk and Hardcore world, is a testament to the ORIGINS of alternative music and lost histories from the visionaries who created it. It has often been said, there would be no Metallica, Green Day or Foo Fighters without the Cro-Mags. In a world searching for authenticity- it doesn't get any more real than Harley.
