Centenary Stage to Present MASTERS OF MOTOWN, 7/20

Take a stroll down memory lane to relive the incredible harmonies and smooth moves made famous by such legendary recording artists as The Temptations, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross and many more. Centenary Stage Company's Jammin' in July Summer Concert Series welcomes the Masters of Motown to the Sitnik Theatre in the David and Carol Lackland Center on Saturday, July 20th at 8 pm.

In the early 60's, some of the most iconic names in the history of popular music were discovered in the Motor City of Detroit, MI, better known simply as Motown. Masters of Motown is a celebration of these artists, their music and style. The show features stylishly costumed fully choreographed tributes to both male and female groups backed by a live band. The 10-person cast has performed to numerous sold-out audiences and garnered rave reviews across the country. This high-energy show is perfect for audiences of all ages. Whether a long-time fan or listening to this music for the first time, the show offers a way to experience a period in this country's past that produced many of the greatest music acts ever recorded, including The Jackson Five, Stevie Wonder, and The Supremes. Masters of Motown's dynamic vocalists are backed by a band of seasoned musicians who have been performing together for decades. This seasoned group will feature numbers by everyone's favorite artists. Ticket-buyers do need to act soon, because tickets are selling fast.

Tickets for the Masters of Motown on Saturday, July 20th at 8 pm range from $22.50 to $30 in advance and $25.50 to $35 for day of purchases, with discounts for seniors, students, and children under 12.

Masters of Motown is part of Centenary Stage Company's Jammin' in July Summer Concert Series, which will also include An Evening With Groucho, The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra, and New Jersey Youth Theatre's Production of West Side Story with a Flex Pass available to all FOUR events at $90.00 per person.
