Brooklyn Duo Matt and Kim Release New Single LIKE I USED TO BE + Tour Dates

Matt and Kim announce the details of their sixth studio album ALMOST EVERYDAY, co-produced by Lars Stalfors and Matt Johnson and due out in May 2018 on FADER Label. The album includes guest vocals from the band's friends including Mark Hoppus, Clairo, King Tuff, Flosstradamus, Santigold, Kevin Morby, Cole and Max Becker from SWMRS, Kevin Ray from Walk The Moon, Travis Hayley from Night Riots, HXLT, Dave Monks from Tokyo Police Club, Van William from Waters, and Fletcher C. Johnson. See album artwork and full tracklisting below.

Today, Matt and Kim debut a new track from ALMOST EVERYDAY titled "Like I Used To Be" along with a lyric video featuring stand-out vocals from Kim in the song's chorus, and additional background vocals from Flosstradamus and Travis Hayley from Night Riots.

In "Like I Used To Be" Matt and Kim reminisce about being young and carefree, mirroring the personal sentiment that runs throughout the album about darker times and the need for change and perseverance. Matt and Kim began writing the music for ALMOST EVERYDAY following a challenging time for the band after Kim suffered an onstage injury in early 2017. Forced to take a year off from touring - the longest they have ever stayed off the road - the band used the time during Kim's extensive recovery to create one of their most intimate albums to date.

About the writing process of ALMOST EVERYDAY, Matt says, "2017 was not a great year for us. Kim got real depressed during her recovery, and anyone who knows Kim (or has seen her play) knows she's such a bad-ass upbeat person so it was hard. Then of course almost everyday it seemed like there was another terrible headline. I feel since the beginning of music people have used writing songs as a form of therapy, but I'm not sure we ever really did...until 2017."

Last month, the band released the album's first single "Forever" and official music video. "Forever" includes guest vocals from Mark Hoppus and SWMRS, and additional production from Flosstradamus. Watch the music video here.

Additionally, Matt and Kim return to the road for a U.S. headlining tour this March, including dates with Tokyo Police Club, CRUISR, TWINKIDS and label mates, FUTURE FEATS. The band will perform two intimate shows in upstate New York before making stops in Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, Brooklyn, Atlanta's Shaky Knees Festival, Mexico City, and more, through May 2018 (full list of tour dates below).
