Cufflink Productions has begun production of a pulse-pounding psychological thriller in the horror genre. The full-length feature film, "A Place in Hell," was inspired by a real serial killer and will be filmed in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Starring in the film is Lewis Smith and Noree Victoria.

Lewis Smith, who founded the Actors Academy in Santa Monica and is known for his roles in film and TV including "Django Unchained" and "The Heavenly Kid," will appear as John Mclnnis, a gritty but driven detective.

Noree Victoria, who currently plays Simone on TVOne's "The Rickey Smiley Show" and who appeared in Sony's "Quarantine 2: Terminal," will portray Nicole Hart, a graduate student who is drawn into a deadly cat-and-mouse game with a serial killer culminating on a local fright farm.

"I am excited for the opportunity to work with the talented cast and crew on this project," says Victoria, kin to the late jazz musician Eubie Blake and sister of Emmy-nominated actress Penny Jerald.

Notable appearances in the film include Christopher Mann, known for his role on The Wire as Councilman Anthony "Tony" Gray and Law and Order, and Brian Anthony Wilson of "Limitless," which starred Bradley Cooper.

The story concerns a young woman who teams up with a group of student filmmakers to make a movie on a desolate fright farm for their final project in film school. All the while a Philadelphia detective searches for answers in a closed case that cost him his job. This story of good versus evil is a struggle of wills, internal conflict and deep-seated obsessions.

"A Place in Hell" will be produced by Cufflink Productions in association with Frame Level Films and Don't Go There Productions. David Boorboor, an accomplished director who also penned the script, will direct. As Boorboor's feature debut, he will be producing alongside Ed Cuffe, with Mike Reuten serving as executive producer and Sonny Vellozzi co-producing.

"The film will be looking to release in late 2014," states Ed Cuffe. "We all are extremely excited to make a film that truly touches its audience and stands out in the genre."
