Imperial Pictures Ltd. is pleased to unveil, in partnership with Ain't It Cool News, the official red band trailer for AMERICAN ECSTASY, the forthcoming erotic chiller from New York filmmaker/photographer Jonathan Leder. A stylish irony-free throwback to the fuzzy late nights and lazy summer days of "Skinemax" and VHS horror, the movie is simultaneously a harrowing look into the underreported, true-life occurrences of young women abducted along America's highways. The end result is the type of unpredictable, modern mindbender that will entertain audiences while leaving them memorably shaken.

Currently in production in New York and Florida, AMERICAN ECSTASY marks the feature film debut, in a to-die-for performance, of actor/model Britany Nola. Fresh off a photo shoot for VICE magazine, Britany Nola continues her rise in pop culture as the new face of a revamped Playboy empire, returning this month in the April 2013 issue after gracing the cover of the November 2012 issue. She is currently in the running for Playboy Playmate of 2013. In AMERICAN ECSTASY, Britany Nola is the charismatic lead in a phantasmagoric anthology, playing a naive dancer who hits the road, traveling across tourist traps and clubs in Florida and Myrtle Beach, before falling into the sights of a mad everyman. She will be this monster's first. But can she escape quickly enough to be his last?

Britany Nola is joined by a vibrant ensemble cast of up-and-coming female actors, including Amy Hood (APM Models) and Lindsay Roan that recalls in attitude and sheer whoa-factor, the roster of Harmony Korine's latest, Spring Breakers, as well as the curvy, natural delights of Russ Meyer and Roger Vadim. With AMERICAN ECSTASY, producer/director Jonathan Leder is introducing his unmistakable eye for the female form's innate elegance-so exemplified in his celebrated photography and commercial work for the likes of Louis Vuitton and Adidas-to the arena of cinema.

In a risqué decade wherein Hollywood studios are testing the mainstream boundaries of on-screen sexuality and adult subject matter, be it David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, William Friedkin's Killer Joe, or even the upcoming adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey, AMERICAN ECSTASY is less of the Zeitgeist than-not unlike its mythic anti-hero is to the authorities-miles ahead of it. Audiences around the globe will soon discover it to be the ultimate in terror, and maybe, also, in sensuality.

Coinciding with this month's red band trailer is the launch of the film's official website, AmericanEcstasy-Movie.com, which shelters a variety of information and materials, including live social media updates, future festival date announcements, and an exclusive mart for limited-edition posters and other merchandise.

ABOUT THE FILM: They come from the middle of nowhere. They flee fine families and broken homes in search of experience and dreams. They travel the same interstates and back roads as we do. Trigger the same bells entering 24-hour convenience stores. Veer off at the same rest stops headed for places like the Adirondacks, Woodstock, Myrtle Beach and Tampa. And then they vanish. In the wake they leave trails run cold, memories of fresh faces and promising smiles later recalled by strange passersby.

These young women are now heroines of the American Ecstasy, the new feature-length chiller from celebrated photographer and filmmaker Jonathan Leder. An anthology film exploring tales of resilient women snared in a single terrifying, hallucinatory nightmare, fates left gasping in the gloved hands of a mad everyman, this is the movie that will prove, once and for all, that the most monstrous of highway predators is America itself.
