Julianne Moore Exits CAN YOU EVER FORGIVE ME Due to 'Creative Differences'

Variety reports that Julianne Moore has departed Nicole Holofcener's upcoming drama "Can You Ever Forgive Me" due to creative differences. Production on the film, which also stars Chris O'Dowd, is scheduled to begin next week.

Holofcener will helm the project from her own script, which based on the 2008 memoir by journalist Lee Israel. According to the site, "In 1992, Israel had fallen on hard times and began selling letters that she had forged from deceased writers and actors. When the forgeries started to raise suspicion, she turned to stealing the actual letters from library archives and sold them. In 1993, Israel pleaded guilty to conspiracy to transport stolen property and served six months under house arrest. She died last year."

Moore, who recently won an Academy Award for her starring role in "Still Alice," will next be seen on the big screen this fall in the drama "Freeheld" opposite Ellen Page and Steve Carell and later in the highly anticipated sequel, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2." Other upcoming projects include the romantic comedy "Maggie's Plan," co-starring Greta Gerwig, Ethan Hawke, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph and Monte Greene.
