The 17th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival runs from September 26-October 5, 2014 in over 300 cities across six continents. Numerous entries have been narrowed down to just ten finalists for the screening. Those attending get to vote on their favorite and the winner will be announced after the close of the festival on the festival's website. ITHT is pleased to announce that Festival Founding Director Nicholas Mason will be at Irvington Town Hall Theater to introduce the films and kick off the new season.

"Nicholas was in the audience of the Irvington Town Hall Theater and loved the venue and 'feel' of the theater so much that he made a special request that we host a screening of his acclaimed worldwide short film festival, Manhattan Short," explains Film Series Committee Chair, Laurie Chock. "Having Nicholas on hand to comment about the films and the festival will add depth and excitement to our Best Of Film Series kick-off evening which is always loads of fun."

Past Finalists from this Festival have GONE on to be nominated and win Oscars in the short film category, making MANHATTAN SHORT a collection of some of the best short films currently screening in the world today.
