On the eve of its 103rd birthday, the Elks Theatre of Middletown, PA and Save The Elks Campaign have announced the return of its popular repertory program with twelve weeks of classic film programming. The slate of acclaimed movies include 75th anniversary screenings of THE WIZARD OF OZ and GONE WITH THE WIND.

After a six month hiatus as the go-to theater for iconic films, the Elks has returned with a mammoth "Classics Are Back" campaign and slate. Though the titles are slowly being revealed on its Facebook page (Save The Elks), the list so far includes HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE from September 26th-28th, NIGHT OF THE LIVNG DEAD on October 4th and 5th, ALIEN on October 18th and 19th, THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW on October 24th and 25th, a 75th anniversary screening of THE WIZARD OF OZ on November 18th and 19th, CADDYSHACK on November 22nd and 23rd, and a 75th anniversary screening of GONE WITH THE WIND over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The yet to be announced screenings include more horror movies in October, classic comedies in November, and Christmas films in December.

The twelve-week movie extravaganza kicks-off this weekend with HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE. As a thank you to the community, all tickets at Saturdaynight's screening (September 27th) will be $1. All other tickets for classic films will vary in price from regular admission, $6.75 for adults and $4.75 for kids, or a flat classics admission of $8. The Save The Elks campaign is giving away free tickets upon each title's announcement via its Facebook page. All entrants are also eligible to win a free pass to see all classic movies this fall.

"We are thrilled to bring classics back to the Elks Theatre and continue to drive business and tourism to downtown Middletown," said Dan Santelli, Programmer for the Elks Theatre. "Our classic program brings movie fans as far as Baltimore, and students of Penn State Harrisburg have found their campus escape with us," added Santelli.
