Christopher Meloni Joins Cast of THEY CAME TOGETHER

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Christopher Meloni has signed on for the upcoming comedy THEY CAME TOGETHER from Lionsgate. The actor will join previously announced cast members Paul Rudd, Ed Helms, Cobie Smulders and Jason Mantzoukas and Amy Poehler. David Wain, who penned the script, is set to direct the romantic comedy spoof.

The film will center on Rudd and Poehler's characters who come into conflict when Rudd's company tries to shut down Poehler's candle shop. Meloni will portray Rudd's boss, described as "the CEO of CorporateCo Corporation and Co., Inc." Filming is set to begin this July.

The actor is best known for his long-running TV role on CBS's Law & Order: SVU. He may currently be seen in HBO's True Blood and recently wrapped shooting on the films Man of Steel, Legendary's Jackie Robinson biopic 42 and Small Time.
