Arterton, Carter, Fiennes, Irvine, et al. Set for 'Byzantium' Film

Gemma Arterton, Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Jeremy Irvine, and Saoirse Ronan are all set to star together in Neil Jordan's new film "Byzantium," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The script is written by playwright Moira Buffini and tells the story of a mother vampire who turns her own daughter into a vampire.

Jordan is best known for his direction of "The Crying Game."

Gemma Alterton made her stage debut as Rosaline in Shakespeare's LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST at The Globe Theatre, London in July 2007. This will be her West End debut. She played the title role in a BBC adaptation of "Tess of the D'Urbervilles." Her film credits include "Kelly in St Trinian's" and MI6 Agent Strawberry Fields in the James Bond film, "Quantum of Solace." She is also starred in the West End production of THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED.

Helena Bonham Carter is a well known film actress who starred in the 2008 film version of the musical SWEENEY TODD. Ralph Fiennes Broadway credits include HAMLET and FAITH HEALER. Jeremy Irvine is currently filming for Steven Spielberg's film adaptation of WAR HORSE. Saoirse Ronan is best known for her roles in ATONEMENT and THE LOVELY BONES.
