Angelina Jolie Pens New Film; In Talks to Star Alongside Brad Pitt

According to Deadline, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt could be acting together on-screen for the first time since 2005's Mr. and Mrs. Smith, this time in a project written by Jolie. No word yet on the subject matter of the film or the timeline for production.

Jolie -- in the director's chair -- is currently wrapping up Unbroken, based on the book by Laura Hillenbrand. Jolie made her directorial debut with In The Land of Blood and Honey.

She will next be seen in Disney's live-action Maleficent, set for release on May 30. Other recent acting credits include The Tourist, Salt, Wanted, Beowulf and more.

Pitt's upcoming projects include Voyage of Time and Fury. He recently starred in The Counselor, 12 Years a Slave, World War Z, Moneyball, The Tree of Life, Inglourious Basterds, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Burn After Reading and more.
