CBS EVENING NEWS Posts CBS's 2nd Quarter in Time Period in 10 Years

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted CBS's best 2nd Quarter in the time period in 10 years (since 2006), just 0.1 rating points from ABC in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen most current ratings for 2nd Quarter 2016. The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted gains in the key demographic of adults 25-54 (1.3/06 from 1.2/06, +8%) and in viewers (6.69m from 6.68m) compared to 2nd Quarter 2015.

In adults 25-54, CBS finished in its closest competitive position with ABC in 2nd Quarter in four years (since 2012).

Television year-to-date, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY is the only network evening news broadcast up in viewers (7.25m from 7.14m, +1%) compared to last year.
