Third Eye Theatre Ensemble begins its third season with "Songs of Americana" Friday, July 22nd at 7:30pm at the historic Glessner House Museum in Chicago.

"Songs of Americana" takes you on a musical journey of America's most celebrated composers. The concert will feature art songs and show stoppers from musical theater and opera performed by Third Eye Theatre Ensemble company members Angela Born, Adrianne Blanks, and Christopher Skyles with special guest artists JEssie Lyons, Sarah Thompson Johansen, Gabriel DiGennaro, and Jon Wilson.

"Come and join us for a beautiful night of singing by some of Chicago's most talented artists", said Christopher Skyles who selected the performers and music for concert.

Several of the evening's performers are featured in Third Eye Theatre Ensemble's upcoming productions of The Filthy Habit, by Peter Hilliard with libretto by Chicago's own Matt Boresi, and Dark Sisters, by composer Nico Muhly.

A wine reception and free tours of the Glessner House Museum will follow the concert.
