The MAC Sets 2016-16 Performing Series

McAninch Arts Center (MAC) at College of DuPage is pleased to announce its 2016-2017 Season Performance Series. Subscriptions are on sale now for an exciting selection of music, dance, theater, comedy and literature events showcasing a roster of world-class headliners. Single tickets go on sale at the Box Office Saturday, Aug. 6 at 11 a.m.
"For three decades, the MAC has been a place where culture and community connect," observes MAC Director Diana Martinez. "Our top-notch, customer service-focused box office, diverse world-class programming, informative free MAC Chats before or after an event, the chance to take in the latest exhibition in the Cleve Carney Art Gallery, full service concessions, amazing acoustics and free parking have combined to make a trip to the MAC a thoroughly enjoyable experience from beginning to end. This year, we've kicked things up a notch not only with a treasure trove of headliner talent, but by adding VIP service for select shows which includes a private, pre-show cocktail and hors d' oeuvres reception and dessert and coffee at intermission." A few of the highlights of MAC's 2016-2017 Performance Series events coming to the Belushi Performance Hall include "Stephen Schwartz and Friends," a concert of popular Broadway tunes performed by the Academy, Grammy and Tony Award-winning composer and musical theater icon and some of the greatest talent from the Great White Way (Oct. 7); Grammy Award-winners Herb Alpert and Lani Hall, former lead vocalist for Sérgio Mendes & Brazil '66 (Oct. 15); an entertaining presentations by Rick Steves, the beloved host and writer of the popular public television series "Rick Steves' Europe" (Oct. 22); a must-see concert by Grammy Award-winning American singer and keyboardist Bruce Hornsby (Oct. 28); American country star and Grammy Award-winner Wynonna Judd in Wynonna Judd & the Big Noise Christmas (Dec. 2); and "Seven Things I've Learned: An Evening with Ira Glass," starring the host of NPR's award-winning "This American Life" (Feb. 25).# # #
