Jet City Improv Sets 'Summer Madness' Schedule Through September

Every Friday and Saturday this summer, Jet City Improv is putting a twist on its flagship improv comedy show with drink specials, costumes, prizes, and ticket discounts during its annual three-month event known as Summer Madness.

Performances of Jet City Improv on Saturday nights through September 19 will feature a special theme and be accompanied by a corresponding drink discount (e.g. $1 off all drinks for those wearing formal attire to Prom Night) or promotional giveaway (e.g. hot dogs at Meat Night) on top of an outrageous night of live comedy based on audience suggestions.

On Friday nights, audiences can take advantage of the Grow Your Group, Shrink Your Price promotion. Through September 25, the cost of advance tickets to 10:30 performances on Friday nights is only $10 each for a group of 4, $9 each for a group of 5, as low as $5 for groups of 9 or more.

Plus, every ticket purchased to all shows in July, August and September comes with a complementary Madness Pass that allows audience members to see any show for just $5 per ticket through September 26.

SALUTE TO JORTS

Sat July 11

8:00 & 10:30

We're dedicating a whole night the noblest of summer fashion choices: the jort. Wear your favorite pair of jean shorts to get $1 off all drink and snack purchases. Don't have jorts? Wear an old pair of jeans and we'll have all the supplies you need help you turn them into jorts at the Leg Liberation Station. Then, you'll be able to spend each (now useless) pant leg at the bar and concessions stand like cash - $1 per leg.

1800's NIGHT

Sat July 18

8:00 & 10:30

Gentleman, wax your mustaches and dust off your top hats. Ladies, open your parasol and pin a fresh bird on your most becoming hat. We've ditched our candles in exchange for brand new electric technology that will light up live performances on stage of unscripted comedy! Enjoy $1 off all whiskey, beer and wine drinks for donning period-appropriate facial hair or attire. Now sit back, relax, and try not to think about your cholera.

XMAS IN JULY

Sat July 25

10:30 only

It's a Christmas miracle! We'll be cranking up the A/C to get you in the holiday spirit and handing out free candy canes to the first fifty people through the door. Dress up to show your holiday cheer and you'll get $1 off every drink, candy and popcorn purchase. Plus, Santa's got some special presents for the best suggestion of the night!

AUGTOBERFEST

Sat Aug 1

8:00 & 10:30

Witness the grand unveiling of the brand new Jet City Improv bar! To celebrate, we'll have steep specials on all our drinks (boozy and otherwise) and subject our improvisers to drinking games to go with their improvised comedy. Raise a glass and give it a shot!

PROM NIGHT

Sat Aug 8

8:00 & 10:30

Will you go to Prom Night with us? You'll be treated to improv comedy from Jet City Improv cast members that are dating or married (aww) while you sip on spiked punch drink specials and join in on the all-audience slow dance at the end of the show. Take $1 off all drinks and snacks if you're wearing a tux or dress, plus the first 25 couples through the door arrive will get a complimentary corsage and boutonniere. So is that a yes?

PRIDE NIGHT

Sat Aug 15

8:00 & 10:30

Grab all the rainbow you own and come on down to see Jet City's LGBTQA cast perform in celebration of everyone's right to love. Wearing a rainbow will get you a $1 discount per item at the bar and on concessions; rainbow gear will be handed out at the door . . . let's just say there will be no shortage of rainbows and good feelings all around.

TACO NIGHT

It's not a sausage fest - it's a Taco Night! Round up the gals for a show featuring an all-female cast of improvisers and $1 off drinks if you're a gal. Plus, we'll be giving out free dessert tacos at to the first 50 guests through the door.

MEAT NIGHT

Sat Aug 29

10:30 only

Beefcakes on stage, hot dogs at the door! Purchase your ticket online before the show and we'll have a sausage waiting for you hot off the grill when you arrive (or a veggie option if you need it). Also, enjoy comedy from a hunky all-male cast who will almost certainly take their shirts off at some point. Magic!

THE GREAT INDOOR CAMPOUT

With summer coming to an end, what better way to celebrate nature's beauty than with a trip to a theater? Relive all your favorite parts of camp with free friendship bracelets and s'mores cocktails but none dirt and grime that comes with being outside for a week. Skip the sunscreen and bug juice in favor of comedy and air conditioning!

TAILGATE NIGHT

Sat Sept 12

Consider this an exorcism of those Big Game demons, 12th Man. We're spending the final hours before the 'Hawks first game of the season with a hard-hitting, beast mode night of comedy. Wear your Hawks gear to get $1 off every drink and snack purchase, enjoy a special Hawks Shot cocktail at the bar, and cross your fingers that at least one former or current player accepts our invitation to attend and perform. Oh, and there will be Skittles everywhere.

90'S NIGHT

From Tamagachis to TLC, we're heading back to the best decade that ever was. Enjoy a night of 90's jams while you wear your best LA Lights, grunge get-up, or other 90's gear to get $1 off all drinks and snacks. Plus, the first fifty people through the door get a free snap bracelet!

Jet City Improv was founded in 1992 as Seattle's own improv comedy show: more games, more comedy, no losers. Since then it has grown into one of Seattle's favorite theater experiences, offering fast-paced performances of its flagship show every weekend along with brand new improv comedy formats, improvised plays in the Jet City Improv Presents series, classes, and outreach work in the community.
