Please join us for a hilarious family variety show brought to you by Project HAND UP one afternoon only today, October 25 at BPA. This Vegas-style solo variety show is suitable for the whole family. All proceeds go to HIV prevention and gender equality education in Kenya.

Comedian Darren Collins is a Native Washingtonian, born and raised in Port Angles, who has toured 45 states and 20 countries with his act. Kids and teens, adults and seniors will all enjoy his personable stand-up comedy act with juggling and magic!

Collins and his co-founder, a Bainbridge Island native, formed Project HAND UP to help East Africans live healthy lives by providing culturally-appropriate HIV/AIDS education and gender equality education through live puppet and magic shows. A puppet has a special "permission" to say things that might otherwise be controversial or embarrassing to an audience. Puppets allow Project HAND UP to teach about this "taboo" topic in a way that complements the culture by using storytelling and visuals in a warm and joyful way that really works!
