Did You Know... Fun Facts About the 2015 Tony Nominees!

The 2015 Tony nominations were announced this morning by Mary-Louise Parker and Bruce Willis. If you haven't checked them out yet, what are you waiting for?! The 2015 Tony Awards will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, on Sunday, June 7th on CBS.

Below, check out some fun facts about this year's nominees!

In the lead- Fun Home and An American in Paris tie with 12 nominations each this year. Past shows with the most nominations include Billy Elliot and The Producers, which each picked up 15 nominations in 2009 and 2001 respectively .

Back for more- This marks Kelli O'Hara's sixth nomination- others include The Light in the Piazza, The Pajama Game, South Pacific, Nice Work if You Can Get It, and The Bridges of Madison County. Additionally, Chita Rivera has picked up nine nominations throughout her career, with two wins for The Rink and Kiss of the Spider Woman.

The multi-nominees- A handful of this year's nominees picked up more than one nod, including Casey Nicholaw, Christopher Wheeldon, David Rockwell, David Zinn, Bob Crowley, Natasha Katz, Japhy Weideman, Paule Constable.

Young talent- Sydney Lucas is this year's youngest nominee at 11 years-old, joining the ranks of Daisy Eagan (11), who won for The Secret Garden in 1991 and Frankie Michaels (11) for Mame in 1966. The four leading ladies from Matilda (Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon, and Milly Shapiro) earned honorary awards in 2012 at the ages of 10-11.

The fresh faces- There are plenty of first time acting nominees this year, including Robert Fairchild, Geneva Carr, Elisabeth Moss, Carey Mulligan, Ruth Wilson, Ken Watanabe, Tony Yazbeck, Leanne Cope, Beth Malone, Matthew Beard, Lydia Leonard, Richard McCabe, Alessandro Nivola, Nathaniel Parker, Micah Stock, Patricia Clarkson, Sarah Stiles, Sydney Lucas, Ruthie Ann Miles, Emily Skeggs, Brandon Uranowitz, Max von Essen, Bill Nighy, Steven Boyer, Bradley Cooper, and Ben Miles.

British invasion- The Brits got lots of love this year, with a total of 24 nominations for imports like Skylight, Wolf Hall: Parts 1 &2, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and The Audience.

Hollywood on Broadway- There will be lots of faces from the silver screen on the Tony Awards red carpet in June, including Bradley Cooper, Carey Mulligan, Ruth Wilson, Helen Mirren, Elisabeth Moss, Ken Watanabe and Patricia Clarkson.

Let's hear it for the newbies- This was a year for fresh creative talent on Broadway, with creators like Sting and Wayne and Karey Kirkpatrick- who all took their first jabs at musical theatre with great success.
