The ComedySportz Theatre announced today the revival of their annual Comedy March Madness Tournament. The semi-annual competition breaks the ComedySportz ensemble into divisions that will compete over the course of four weeks beginning March 6 and culminating in the championship match on March 29, 2014 at the ComedySportz Theatre: 929 W Belmont Ave. in Chicago.

This year, the competition is bigger than ever, with over 60 comedians competing in 12 different divisions, which have been determined by the player's college alma maters. ComedySportz will represent over 50 different colleges separated into the following divisions: Texas, Crossroads, East Coast, Great Lakes, Midwest, North East, South Central, The South, Southwest, West Coast, and Illinois, with enough Chicago players to make them a division unto themselves. A full bracket of the double elimination tournament can be found and downloaded on the ComedySportz website at http://comedysportzchicago.com/news.

"March is a special time at ComedySportz because the competition really heats up," says President and CEO Matt Elwell. "Our super fans look forward to the ensemble being divided into teams and battling for the championship. This competition really highlights our strongest and best players, and the fans will root for them to come back again and again. Let the games begin!"
