Chris Isaacson Presents has announced Chopin Meets Broadway, the unique artistic collaboration of acclaimed vocalist Peisha McPhee and award-winning pianist Sergiu Tuhutziu for two shows only on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1 at 8:30pm at the Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood.

In the debut presentation of this new entertainment, Peisha McPhee and Sergiu Tugutziu brilliantly bring to life a combination of classical music and Broadway standards. The show includes classical repertoire, including some of the most famous and romantic works of composers such as Chopin and Rachmaninoff, ingeniously arranged to match a variety of Broadway standards by the likes of great American composers from George Gershwin to Stephen Sondheim. This unique pairing of musical styles will create the flavor of a new musical genre. Special guests to be announced.

Renowned singer and vocal coach Peisha McPhee is in a class of her own. She has charmed audiences with her critically acclaimed solo show at the legendary Cinegrill at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and the Gardenia Supper Club in Los Angeles, the Metropolitan Room in New York City, and Club Universel in Paris. The Los Angeles Times said, "She can make you laugh, make you cry, and make you feel like she's singing just for you," and the LA Weekly has called her style, "a return to cabaret elegance and sophistication." She has also appeared in national tours of Showboat and Man of La Mancha throughout the country. With over three decades of professional experience, she is also one of the most sought-after vocal instructors in the world. McPhee helped launch the careers of some of the most famous singers in modern music, including her daughter Katharine, star of Scorpion on CBS. McPhee has also worked with some of music's top producers and songwriters, including John Musker, Ron Clements, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jimmy Iovine, Don Was, Rodney Jerkins, and Harvey Mason, Jr. Assisted by her daughter Adriana, McPhee was the premiere American Idol vocal coach. Together they trained the show's contestants and eventual winners of four seasons.

Winner of the Debut to Master Soloist Piano Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia (2013), Sergiu Tuhutziu has established himself as one of the most creative pianists of his generation. He excels in the grand romantic repertoire, combining passion with impeccable technique. London's b-flat Sheep said, "Tuhutziu's masterful performances let the music stop and breathe, with haunting rubatos ... [it is] heartfelt and patient." Tuhutziu made his professional debut at the age of 18 with the Dinu Lipatti Philharmonic Orchestra from Satu-Mare, performing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3. He has since played concerts in England, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Russia, Brazil, Canada, and Romania. In June of this year, he won Second Prize at the Manhattan International Music Competition.

Chris Isaacson Presents (CIP) has created, produced, and promoted over 700 events since the company's founding in 2004. From small clubs to major theatres CIP has presented some of the most influential stars of this generation. Earlier this year, CIP produced the "Food & Friends-Vibiana" charitable event honoring Grammy Award-winning rock icons Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo. The event at LA's downtown hot-spot Vibiana was hosted by Lisa Kudrow and raised over $400,000 for the Nexus Scholarship Award at UCLA. This year, Broadway Under the Stars: Celebrating the 35th Anniversary of "Dreamgirls," starring original Dreamgirls Sheryl Lee Ralph, LorEtta Devine, and Jennifer Holliday, was a complete sellout at the Ford Amphitheatre in Hollywood. For information about upcoming CIP events, including the 31st Annual Los Angeles Youth Network Key of Hope Gala with The Voice finalist India Carney (October 8), Shelley Segal (October 13), Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp (October 25 & 26), four-time Grammy Award nominee Melba Moore (December 9 & 10) and more, visit www.ChrislsaacsonPresents.com.
