Casting Announcement: Ugly Lies the Bone

I am excited to announce the full cast for Lindsey Ferrentino's Ugly Lies The Bone, directed by Patricia McGregor. The cast will feature Mamie Gummer (Jess), Karron Graves (Kacie), Caitlin O'Connell (Voice/Their Mom), Chris Stack (Stevie), and Haynes Thigpen (Kelvin).

Mamie Gummer is a two-time Roundabout alum, having made both her off-Broadway debut in 2005 with the premiere of Mr. Marmalade and her Broadway debut in 2008 in Les Liaisons Dangereuses. In 2007 Mamie received a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for her performance inThe Water's Edge (Second Stage Theater). Mamie has guest starred on the Emmy nominated series "The Good Wife" and appeared in the Emmy and Golden Globe winning HBO miniseries "John Adams." She made her first film appearance in 2006 in Lasse Hallström's The Hoax. In addition to her numerous other film credits, Mamie will be starring in the upcoming Ricki and the Flash with her mother, Meryl Streep.

Karron Graves is new to the Roundabout family this season. She played Isobel Ashbrook in the Tony-nominated Coram Boy and has performed with Manhattan Theatre Club, Lincoln Center Theatre, and the Mint Theater Company. Karron is perhaps best known for playing Mary Warren in Arthur Miller's screen adaptation of The Crucible opposite Daniel Day-Lewis. Other screen credits include The Good Shepherd, The Fig Tree, and "Saturday Night Live," among many others. Karron is on faculty at NYU Tisch and AMDA and has directed at Yale, Wesleyan University, Princeton University, and Gas Lamp Players.

Caitlin O'Connell, like Karron, will also be joining the Roundabout family with Ugly Lies The Bone.Caitlin has numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway credits including 33 Variations (Tectonic Theater Project), The Heiress, Stuff Happens (The Public), and All's Well That Ends Well (NYSF). Some of Caitlin's screen appearances include Oppenheimer Strategies, "Unforgettable," and "Homicide."

Chris Stack will also be making his Roundabout debut in Ugly Lies The Bone. He most recently appeared in Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, America, Kuwait (Rattlestick/Piece By Piece/Snug Harbor),Fidelis (The Public), and Wayside Motor Inn (Signature Theater) among many others. Some of Chris's screen credits include "Law & Order: SVU," "White Collar," and School of Rock.

Haynes Thigpen understudied in Roundabout's Misalliance. Additionally, Haynes has performed Off-Broadway in numerous shows including To the Bone (Cherry Lane), Twelfth Night (The Shakespeare Theatre), and August: Osage County (The Old Globe). "The Good Wife," "Law and Order," and "Law and Order: Criminal Intent" are just some of his screen credits.

Ugly Lies the Bone launches the ninth season of Roundabout Underground, an initiative to introduce and cultivate artists in Roundabout's 62?seat Black Box Theatre. Ugly Lies the Bone, which was presented as part of last year's Underground Reading Series at Roundabout, is the first?ever recipient of a Special Citation of Excellence from The Laurents /Hatcher Foundation.
