In June 2013, Vadym Kholodenko became the recipient of the Gold Medal at the Fourteenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Since then it has been a busy and exciting time for the young Ukranian pianist with extensive touring throughout Europe, Asia, and the USA to great critical acclaim. His recent debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra led to Daniel Webster of The Philadelphia Inquirer praising Kholodenko's "absorbing melodic shadings, glittering passage work, and a sense of sound that erased any fears about the stereotype of the competition winner."

Vadym Kholodenko will be performing on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Meany Hall on the University of Washington campus at 7:30pm.

Program
Beethoven: Variations on a Waltz by Diabelli, Op. 120
Scriabin: Sonata No. 10, op. 70
Scriabin: Sonata No. 5, op. 53
