Under35@Veronica Meadows brings together all walks of life from Providence's vibrant, young arts community, from enthusiasts to practitioners. "With RISD's art installation, WBRU's sweet tunes, and Trinity Rep's world-premiere play, this night will be like a circus," promises Under35@TRC Party Czar, Ted Chylack, "An amazing, one-of-a-kind arts circus- with snacks and wine, of course."

A collection of original illustrations for book covers in a fictitious Veronica Meadows mystery series, created by RISD illustration students, hangs in the Trinity Rep Dowling Theater lobby throughout the run of Veronica Meadows. Inspired by a suggestion from playwright Stephen Thorne, Michael Guy, Trinity Rep's creative director and RISD alum, along with RISD professor Lars Grant West, worked with a class of junior and senior illustration students to produce a contemporary take on an old literary and illustration genre. After a quick survey of the art of tawdry pulp fiction novels, breathless mystery magazines, beloved girl detective books, and after getting to know a little about Trinity Rep's young heroine, the students were given free rein to imagine what a bookshelf full of Veronica Meadows mysteries might look like. This event is free and open to patrons throughout the run of the show.
