he New York Pops' Chairman James A. Read is pleased to announce the appointment of Alain Boublil and Elizabeth Ritzcovan to the Board of Directors.

"The Directors of The New York Pops unanimously voted this fall to appoint Broadway veteran and Tony Award winner Alain Boublil and Chief Revenue Officer of Bazaarvoice, Liz Ritzcovan, to new positions on the orchestra's Board," said Mr. Read. "I am tremendously confident in the direction of this great orchestra, and I am certain we will continue to achieve the highest artistic and educational missions of The New York Pops in the coming years."

EXPANSION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Alain Boublil is the author of the librettos and original lyrics for the musicals La Révolution Française, LES MISERABLES, Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre, and The Pirate Queen, all in collaboration with Claude-Michel Schönberg, as well as Marguerite with Michel Legrand. Boublil is the recipient of two Tony Awards, two Grammys, two Victoire de la Musique Awards and a Molière Award for LES MISERABLES. He received an Evening Standard Drama Award for Miss Saigon and a Laurence Olivier Award for Martin Guerre as well as a New York Chapter Honors Grammy Award for his outstanding contribution to the creative community. He co-wrote the screenplay of the Golden Globe-winning and Oscar-nominated film LES MISERABLES. Most recently, he wrote a new play, A Manhattan Parisienne, with songs by Gershwin, Cole Porter, Charles Aznavour, Michel Legrand, Steve Allen, and more, which played in New York's 59E59 Theater for a limited run and will reopen again soon. He is the author/librettist of Abbacadabra, a fairy tale musical with songs by ABBA; of the stage adaptation of the Demy/Legrand film Les Demoiselles de Rochefort; as well as author of the play The Diary of Adam and Eve (based upon two short stories by Mark Twain). He wrote a prize-winning French novel Les dessous de soi. Currently he is working with Claude-Michel Schönberg on a revised version of Martin Guerre. Boublil lives in New York with his wife, actress/singer Marie Zamora, and is the father of four sons.

Liz Ritzcovan is the chief revenue officer at Bazaarvoice, where she is responsible for overall leadership of Bazaarvoice's global field sales organization, including direct sales, account management, sales operations, pre-sales solution consulting and business development. She joins the company with 20 years' experience in the print, digital media and tech industry, and is skilled at building business through the expansion of client and partner bases, generating new revenue opportunities and designing, launching and directing high-impact strategic plans. Prior to joining Bazaarvoice, Liz served as global chief revenue officer at Sizmek, a company that provides open ad management platforms for multiscreen campaigns, and before that, spent time as the chief revenue officer at Parade Media Group. Earlier in her career, Liz was the vice president of marketing solutions at Yahoo, Inc., and has held similar roles at Time, Inc., Interbrand, Conde Nast, Miller Publishing and H&H Publishing. Active in the New York community, Liz is a strategic advisor to DigiFSi, a start-up for digital coupon solutions, and Splashes, an all-natural beverage start-up. She also serves as an executive member of the Advertising Women of New York. Liz has a bachelor of arts in communication from the University of New York at Potsdam.
