Dueling Organists to Play Millersville University, 11/2 & 11/9

Professors Ross Ellison and Shawn Gingrich will present an interesting and engaging program of organ music, at Millersville University's Biemesderfer Concert Hall in the Winter Performing Arts Center on Sunday, November 2 at 2:30 p.m., and again at Messiah College's Parmer Concert Hall in the High Center for Performing Arts on Sunday, November 9 at 3:00 p.m. The Winter Center is located at 60 W. Cottage Ave, Millersville.

In the recital the performers will each play sets in alternation, "dueling" with their skill at the organ. Works to be performed include music by J.S. Bach, Marcel Dupre', Cesar Franck, Jean Langlais, Felix Mendelssohn, and Louis Vierne as well as several contemporary composers.

Dr. Ross Ellison is on the music faculty at Millersville University, and is the owner and manager of University Music Service in Hershey.

Dr. Shawn Gingrich is on the music faculty at Messiah College, and is the Director of Music Ministry at First United Methodist Church in Hershey.

Admission to the concert in Millersville will be a $10 donation for adults (to benefit Music Department scholarships) with free admission for students with ID.
