In the wake of the U.S. women's national soccer team's (USWNT) World Cup domination, author Todd Schaus shares a fun story about a girl and her soccer team as a way to share educational information about soccer in his new book, "Soccer is for Me" (published by WestBow Press).

Schaus' story is actually the modern rendition of a book written by his father in 1978. He juxtaposes his illustrated story alongside rules of the game and basic terminology to offer a resource for younger soccer players and their parents.

"All other children's soccer books are juvenile stories that do not convey sufficient soccer information or encyclopedia type books that are too verbose for young kids," Schaus says. "My book provides a fun story with basic soccer information accompanied by beautiful action photos that make you want to get on the field."

Praise for "Soccer is for Me":

"Young girls and boys are going to love the engaging story, easy to understand explanations, and great pictures in 'Soccer is for Me!'"
-Jon Hersey, AYSO Regional Commissioner
