The young boy was excited to be off at a party for his fifth birthday. He wasn't too excited when he found his parents deceased on his return however. Things didn't get any better on his sixth birthday either, when he received the strangest gift of all: he turned into a beast. Tiffini Hunt reinvents the classic "Beauty and the Beast" fairytale in her book, "Beast" (published by iUniverse).

Picking up nearly 200 years after the young boy initially transformed into the Beast, a man stumbles across the castle where the Beast lives. He innocently takes a rose from a vase to bring home to his daughter, which sends Beast into a rage. What the man didn't know was that he would be instrumental in finding the woman Beast has been dreaming about.

Unlike the many versions of this classic fairytale, Hunt focuses on the inner psyche of Beast, allowing readers to better understand his motives and what he is going through. Hunt hopes this will not only make him more relatable, but prompt readers to "keep going for their dreams despite any aliments that may come their way."
