A life-altering personal experience inspired siblings Ted Haskins and Jeanette Meade to pen "Twice Delivered" (published by Xlibris). This heartwarming memoir details their journey - from separation to reunion 55 years later.

"Twice Delivered" is the true story of one woman's enduring journey to find the brother she never knew 2,400 miles and a lifetime away. In the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, without even a name to aid her, she began her needle-in-a-haystack search after learning of him from a classmate at the age of 12. Nine years earlier and at the age of only two weeks, her brother was handed through the window of a car to complete strangers and became a well-kept family secret. Unaware that he was not the natural son of the parents who received him, he was taken and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. "Truth is stranger than fiction," the authors say. "As we've shared it with other individuals and groups of people, the most common response was that it sounds like a Lifetime or Hallmark movie."

An extraordinary account, "Twice Delivered" lets readers understand that the decisions they make in life do not only affect themselves but also the people around them, often with everlasting consequences.

About the Author
As a young girl, Jeanette Meade grew up with her grandparents in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia without electricity or running water. Hers was an abusive childhood and her only saving grace was her granny. She and her husband continue to live near her childhood home. They are the parents of three grown children, numerous grandchildren and one great grandchild. She had several jobs throughout her life, one of which was in the machinist trade.
Ted Haskins grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, an only child and well-kept family secret, had a good childhood filled with numerous friends but yearning for siblings. After marrying his childhood sweetheart, they raised two sons who gave them five grandchildren. With two 20-year careers, his first was as a nuclear machinist. He spent the second 20 years in television production. Against all odds, a phone call from a private investigator forever changed their lives 55 years after he was born.
