Steven Ackerman, an author and journeyman, has completed his first book "Inhuman": a gripping and potent descent into the murky depths of a zombie apocalypse. This is a story of hardship, struggle, and ultimate redemption.

On how he describes the book and its message, author Steven Ackerman said, "I started writing this book as a man verses zombie book but soon found out that everyone needs somebody and why not have both people need someone. The main character is tormented by the past and something that haunts him. He meets someone who has experienced loss. And can man turn his back on his fellow man just because he is able."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Steven Ackerman's chilling tale is a spine tingling work that grabs hold of the reader with its intricate plot line and demands to be read.

Thomas Lee Davies is on the run from a past that torments him not only in his days but also in his dreams. How could he fail those hopeless children screaming for his rescue from the living dead that occupies their city and the world? How could he just stand there and watch the love of his life being sideswiped by a running truck that sent her flying to a parked car? They are supposed to run away from the zombies that infiltrated Lawrence Park, Pennsylvania. Now she is gone, as well as the children. Trying to find some solace, Thomas, who happens to be immune from the living dead, finds himself in Alliance, Ohio. But peace seems to evade him. The army finds Thomas and urges him to form a militia that will keep the people of Alliance safe from the z's that is fast approaching their border. Then he meets Captain Trina Martinez. Can he trust Trina with his life? Will Trina help him drive away the zombies from Alliance? Will Thomas and his group be able to rebuild the world that the living dead has destroyed?

Readers who wish to experience this innovative work can purchase "Inhuman" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
