The author Roger Bowen has lived in Israel during his younger days and throughout the years has noticed the unique and sometimes volatile relationship between the Arab and Jewish factions that inhabit the area. In "Long Road To Jerusalem" (published by Xlibris AU) the author has created an adventure story steeped in history and romance set in Israel's early transition into a sovereign state.

"Long Road To Jerusalem" follows a young woman named Miriam, who is a survivor of the holocaust. She escapes to Palestine where she meets Cobi, an officer in the Palmach. In the bitter fighting for Jerusalem, during Israel's war of independence, they fall in love. Join them in this unforgettable journey.

This immersive read captures the often hostile environment in Israel, and shows how the early Jewish colonies fought for their right to be a nation.
