LANCASTER, Pa.

When Janice Brown took her young children to their doctor appointments, she was heartbroken to learn that two of her children were severely brain-damaged. Even after the diagnoses, she was determined to care for them. In her new book, "Bundles of Joy," Brown shares her journey and inspires readers who are facing difficult decisions.

Brown's memoir covers every step of her journey, from the diagnoses to everyday concerns and treatment. She strongly believes God has called on her to share her heartbreaking experiences with others, in hopes that it would inspire them to get through difficult times.

"I hope that readers don't let their trials and disappointments cause them to give up," Brown said. "There is a way to survive and to turn them into joys."

Although two of Brown's children are blind and unable to walk, talk, feed and dress themselves, she believes she can teach others how to live compassionately through them.

"I hope this book will help others understand that all God's people, including those with special needs, have feelings and can be hurt," Brown said. "These people are not mistakes at the hands of God. They are his creations - jewels to love and treasure."
