Patrick Cox Launches HARRY HERON: INTO THE UNKNOWN

When Patrick Cox left the world of the fire service for retirement, he felt compelled to pursue a new career as an author. Building on his experience as a technical author, he has followed his interests in naval history into the world of fiction. The author of several works of fiction, Patrick's newest book, "Harry Heron: Into the Unknown" (paperback ISBN 978-0-9860953-9-9, ebook ISBN 978-0-9860953-3-7), follows the flagship book in the series, "Harry Heron: Midshipman's Journey," taking the reader from a sea battle between the British and the French in the southern Indian Ocean into a future war in space. A freak accident on board the HMS Spartan catapults Midshipman Harry Heron and his shipmates Ferghal O'Connor and Danny Gunn four hundred years into the future, landing them on the NECS Vanguard, flagship of the World Treaty Organisation Fleet. The three youths must adapt quickly to a new age filled with unfamiliar technology, and just as they have found their footing, they are called upon to assist the Fleet in a rescue mission on the planet Pangaea, giving them the opportunity to prove that their unique skills from the past are still very relevant in the far distant future.

Born in Cape Town and educated at Selborne College in East London, South Africa, Patrick G. Cox is a published technical author and lecturer, and a retired firefighter after thirty-six years of soot, heat, blood, sweat, and laughter. He is a Licensed Minister in the Church of England, has three adult children and one new little granddaughter of whom he is enormously proud, and is the author of A Baltic Affair, Limehouse Boys, and Harry Heron: Midshipman's Journey, the first book in the Harry Heron Adventure Series.
