"A Stockton Story" (published by Xlibris) is a heady mix of intrigue, suspense and mystery. This novel is the latest offering of author Patricia Sitkin and is centered on a suspicious murder and the efforts of two men to solve it.

The murder of 17-year-old Eddy Anderson sets the tense atmosphere of Sitkin's newest book. UC Berkeley student Naftali Ross becomes involved in the crime and is compelled to find Eddy's killer. He teams up with homicide detective Dano Obanion to investigate. The already complex case becomes deadlier when the two become ensnared in a complex web of illicit drugs and gang wars. In the midst of all these, Naftali also grapples with personal issues. Will Naftali and Dano crack the case before the body count rises?

In this stunning page-turner, Sitkin combines stark prose and compelling characterization to create a world corrupted by crime. With its gangland shootouts, drug culture and suspicious deaths, "A Stockton Story" is as gritty and grim as the city upon which it is set.
